Job Description

You'll start by planning content, writing and editing articles for the English edition of MATCHA. In the future, you'll take responsibility for growing the media and also handle management duties.

• English content planning, article editing and writing
• SEO analysis for the English edition and improving page views (PV)
• Operation and management of English-language social media (Facebook, Instagram, X)
• Analysis and improvement of affiliate advertising revenue for MATCHA’s English website

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in editing and writing English web articles.
• Experience with SEO analysis, creating SEO articles, and affiliate advertising articles.
• Experience in growing/scaling a web medium (web content platform).
• Team management experience (*number of subordinates is not specified).
• Strong information gathering skills/research ability.
• TOEIC score equivalent to 850 or higher.
• Japanese language ability equivalent to N2 (all internal meetings will be conducted in Japanese).
• Must possess a valid working visa for employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with members of diverse nationalities, and a willingness to respect diverse values.

*Note: Currently, we are only hiring non-Japanese nationals for this position.

Welcome Requirements

• Experience in the management/operation of social media platforms.
• Photography skills.
• Experience in managing Google and Meta advertisements.
• Experience working in the tourism sector (including local governments, tourist associations, and regional revitalization teams) and knowledge of the tourism industry.
• Qualification as a Domestic Travel Service Manager (国内旅行業務取扱管理者).
